Stress Free Life is a self-help book that attempts to show the reader how to live a stress free life. As should be obvious by the author’s name, the book presents a religious based approach to stress management. The author presents what he believes to be the seven keys to achieving this stress free life.

The premise behind all the keys is faith in God. With this faith, a person will be able to ask God to take care of their needs and He will provide.  The assumption seems to be that if all your needs are taken care of, you will have no stress.

The book reads like it was transcribed from a sermon. The reader is frequently asked to pray for something. At several points during the book, the bishop writes out his prayers and declarations for the reader.

I found the book difficult to read. This was not due to the language or writing level, but because it was more “preachy” than instructional. The bolded sections and lists with asterisks didn’t always have a clear break or purpose.

There was some good information in the book mixed in with what I felt were some questionable theories. I would advise the reader to read the book carefully and with a certain level of discernment.

Though I try to remain neutral on my opinions when reading and reviewing books, I feel that I must admit here that I did not agree with the majority of his theology.
