Moses – God’s Blessed Donkey is the story of a donkey named Moses and his owner Bullion. Even though the title sounds like a children’s book, this is a book that could easily be enjoyed by readers of any age.

As a young boy, Bullion is given a baby donkey by his father. Bullion is placed in charge of the donkey’s care and takes excellent care of him. The two soon develop a special bond.

Bullion and Moses meet Jesus for the first time shortly after his birth in the manager. As they both grow older, they cross paths with Jesus several times. From the very first meeting, Moses and Jesus seem to know each other. Something special seems to happen each time they meet.

Through these encounters, we get exposed to many events that took place during the life of Jesus. Bullion only sees Jesus as a rabbi so we see these events through the eyes of somebody that does not know what is really going on.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is short and easy to read. The pencil drawings by Clyde San Juan add an extra special touch and really helped me to visualize some parts of the book.

This is Ron Stock’s first book. If his next book about the life of Simon Peter is this good, you don’t want to miss it.
