Dream Bigger – Reclaiming a life of joy and ease is a book about reaching for and achieving your dreams. Julie Wise emphasizes that you are in charge of your own future. She warns against listening to negative people.

In each section she explains a different step that should be taken toward realizing your goals and dreams. The author includes several personal stories about what she has gone through. The fact that she has used these ideas herself seems to lend some credibility to what she is writing. The sections end with a set of exercises that give the reader a chance to put into action what was taught.

Ms. Wise encourages the use of a dream journal to track your progress. She also encourages the reader to find somebody that they can talk to about their dreams.

Dream Bigger was not your typical “you can do it” self help book. It was very well written and seemed to offer mostly very practical advice.

My only concern was that parts of the plan felt like they encouraged taking chances without fully exploring the consequences. I would hope that the readers of this book would use some good common sense while following her advice.
