I am an avid reader and writer so it just seemed natural that I should have a blog about books.

For the benefit of those demographic compilers, let me say that I am over 50 years old with a wife and four children. All four of the children have finished high school and the oldest two have finished college. I own my house (me and the bank) and have 2 pets – one dog and one cat.

As noted on the page titled “The Books”, I read a wide variety of books.

If I review a book here that I do not feel is appropriate for children or youth, I will clearly state that in the review along with my reasoning. By doing this, I am not pretending to be a censor but merely offering a warning to parents about some books that may look innocent on the outside.

I live in the United States and support freedom of speech, so please feel free to agree or disagree with me.

Many of the books that I review here are provided by publishers and authors in exchange for a review. In accordance with federal law, those books will have a disclaimer stating that fact.
