I first started working with Rangers in 1980. Over the next 20 plus years, I served at several different churches as a commander leading classes (all age groups), a senior commander, and an outpost chaplain. After attending the leadership training course, I assisted in teaching the class to new commanders. I was also a Red Cross certified first aid and CPR instructor.

The pages in this section contain some of the things I have learned along the way. There are some devotions that I have written and some devotions written by friends of mine. There are some ideas for ranger outings that I (or some other commanders) have found to be successful. Of course, no collection of Ranger material would be complete without some campfire recipes.

The mission of Royal Rangers is “To reach, teach, and keep boys for Christ!”. It is my prayer that these materials will help you accomplish that mission.

It has been my experience that most Ranger outposts are ran on a very tight budget. Unless otherwise noted, the materials provided in this section are free for use in your local outpost. Please contact me by email if you plan to use any of these materials outside of your local church or in a training session (I am not going to charge you or say no, but I do have very good reasons for this request).
